Date Night

Do you know how my son is going to learn about relationships? By watching how my husband and I treat each other. I don’t know about you, but I want Miles to see David and I love each other every day–spending quality time together, talking and taking an interest in each other, being kind and affectionate and respectful. That’s the kind of kid I want to raise.

For us to be able to model that kind of relationship, we need to have that kind of relationship, which for us means making date night a priority. Tonight, we’ll be enjoying dinner with another couple at a restaurant my husband’s been wanting to try for a while. And by investing in each other and our friendships, we’re just making it easier for Miles to do the same later on. At least, that’s how I want to think about it…
