Road Trip

This weekend, one of my very best friends is getting married in Washington, DC. Do you know what that means? ROAD TRIP!

From the moment we found out I was pregnant, one of our biggest worries was for the amount of stuff we would inevitably acquire. We just didn’t want to be one of those families who have to pack for an hour before every trip to the grocery store. Now, we find ourselves on the eve of Miles’s first road trip with a mile-long list of what we need to pack.

Beside the usual diapers, wipes, formula, toys, and clothes…there’s the play yard for him to sleep in, the stroller for him to hang out in during the wedding, the Baby Bjorn for any quick trips not worthy of lugging out the stroller. The kicker? We will be gone for just over 24 hours!

Is it just every parent’s destiny to become this kind of over-planning hoarder of sorts? I’d like to think we’re still better than a lot of folks we’ve seen. Then again, at three months in, we’re really just getting started.
