My First Son

When we were in Florida last year, I had the pleasure of working from home. It was great at first, but it got really lonely once David started traveling for work. I think that’s at least part of why I couldn’t resist Barney when we saw him at Petco’s outpost of the Humane Society.

He’ll be two on Friday–14 in dog years. Oh, how the time flies! So far, he’s been a great big brother to Miles, licking his hands and feet every chance he gets. I can’t wait until Miles can play back a little more, but for now Barney will have to be content with playing bodyguard.

That’s what big brothers are for!
