Bilingual Babies

I feel very fortunate to have grown up in a house where both English and Spanish were spoken regularly, and I really believe that it put me at an advantage in school. Although we do not currently have a bilingual house (I still speak Spanish, but my husband does not.), luckily our sitter talks primarily in Spanish. I’ve got my fingers crossed that somewhere between that, some Skype with my parents, and a little Dora the Explorer, Miles will be able to pick it up, too.

For you other Bilingual Baby-Mamas out there, any ideas for raising a bilingual kid? We have a couple of vocabulary books, but I feel like immersion is best. There has to be another way. I know, I know…teach my husband Spanish.
