It’s pretty normal for a mother to sing to her baby, and I happen to love doing it. The hard part is the pressure! No, seriously. When it comes time to sing (or when he’s crying and I want to calm him down), I always draw a blank…which means that early on Miles had a very limited rotation:
– Old MacDonald
– Part of Your World
– Uncharted (by Sara Bareilles)
– Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star
And the winner is? TWINKLE, TWINKLE LITTLE STAR!
He can’t get enough! I’ll sing through it once, and he’ll give me a little grunt/hum hybrid that I’m fairly certain means, “again!” Luckily, I can give him some ABC’s with the same melody, and he seems appeased.
Any favorite tunes I should add to Miles’s playlist?
