Okay, well, no. Victory is His!
Easter was this past Sunday, and besides being the most significant day of the year to Christians around the world, it also marks the end of the Lenten season. And unlike last year…SUCCESS!
For the first time ever (which is embarrassing because I’ve been a Christian for 20 years and worked at a church for the last seven), I actually made it through the entire duration of Lent honoring my fast.
Now, please know that I don’t say this to get a warm “congrats” and pat on the back – well, maybe a little, but I shouldn’t. If there’s anything I’ve learned over the past year, it’s that I’m pretty weak on my own.
As it turns out, I’m a bit of a quitter…as you may have noticed by my sporadic posting over the years. But I think it’s high time to change that! Aside from helping me lose a few pounds, this year’s Lent helped me realize that I can do the things I want to do…with God’s help and a lot of prayer.
Praying you had a good season too…and that the year between now and NEXT Easter is full of finishing stuff.
